Graphicle vs Hindsight: agent memory, with the code graph.
Hindsight is an open-source memory system for AI agents. Graphicle adapts parts of its design and keeps a repository's docs, decisions and past agent sessions beside a code graph, in one local program.

Hindsight and Graphicle.
Hindsight, from Vectorize, is an open-source memory system for AI agents, with retain, recall and reflect tools over MCP. It runs with Docker or embedded in Python, and Vectorize also hosts it.

- 12 vs 160estimated model calls per conversation while ingesting LoCoMo-10
A pre-release comparison with seven memory systems: development sets; one open model as every system's reader, judge and model; a pre-release build of Graphicle, not its released defaults. These scores cannot be set against any vendor's published numbers, and the call counts per conversation are estimates. Early pre-release evaluations on GPT models: a pre-release build of Graphicle whose memory notes GPT-4.1-mini wrote; notes were missing for 142 of the 500 LongMemEval histories when they were scored. Hindsight's published contexts were read by the same reader; they are not a fresh run of Hindsight. On LoCoMo the two also tied with both GPT readers (90.4% vs 90.6%; 86.4% vs 87.5%).
Which one fits.
Choose Hindsight if
- You want a standalone memory server for agents beyond coding.
- You want memory as a hosted service.
Choose Graphicle if
- Your memory is for coding agents, next to the code graph.
- You want memories to wait for your approval.
Graphicle's memory library adapts parts of Hindsight's design (MIT): its document blocks, delta operations and observations, credited in its notices.
