Graphicle vs Mem0: memory for coding agents, without an account.
Mem0 is a memory layer for AI apps and agents. Graphicle remembers a repository's docs, decisions and past agent sessions for coding agents, beside a code graph, in one local program with no account.

Mem0 and Graphicle.
Mem0 is an open-source memory layer for AI apps and agents, with a hosted platform. Its local OpenMemory server was sunset in April 2026 and removed in July.

What we measured.
- 87.66 vs 81.88LoCoMo-10, against Mem0 OSS 2.2.1 (the open-source library)Graphicle ahead
- 93.5% vs 91.6%LoCoMo under Mem0's own protocol (GPT-5), against Mem0's published result filesGraphicle ahead
- 92.6% vs 93.4%LongMemEval-S under the same protocol
- 12 vs 332estimated model calls per conversation while ingesting LoCoMo-10
A pre-release comparison with seven memory systems: development sets; one open model as every system's reader, judge and model; a pre-release build of Graphicle, not its released defaults. These scores cannot be set against any vendor's published numbers, and the call counts per conversation are estimates. Early pre-release evaluations on GPT models: a pre-release build of Graphicle whose memory notes GPT-4.1-mini wrote; notes were missing for 142 of the 500 LongMemEval histories when they were scored. Mem0's published result files are merged outputs, not a fresh run of its managed service; no interval was computed for LongMemEval-S.
Which one fits.
Choose Mem0 if
- You are building an AI app that remembers its users.
- You want memory as a managed service.
Choose Graphicle if
- Your memory is for coding agents, next to the code graph.
- You want it local, with no account.
- You want memories to wait for your approval.
Graphicle's memory library adapts parts of Mem0's design for extracting and updating facts (Apache-2.0), credited in its notices.
